Your glasses are highly adjustable, so begin by taking a few minutes to fine tune them to your preferred fit. It may take a few tries before you find a view that's just right.

The image display should eventually be visible inside the lens of your right eye only, slightly to the left of the center of your field of vision.

How to find the correct position:

1) Put the glasses on using two hands and then move them slowly as follows (refer to graphic below):

• Tilt them forward and backward by raising and lowering the rear part of the temples (i.e. temple tips) from the top to the bottom of your ears.


• Move them straight up and down in front of your eyes.

3) Identify the correct position
Find the position where you can see the image display in its entirety, including the 4 dots on all sides of the image.

4) Adjust the tunable part of the glasses
Maintain the glasses in this target position and then:

• Firmly bend the flexible temples so that they lie on your ears in the desired position.

• Adjust the nose pad so that glasses are placed at the correct vertical level in front of your eyes.

Depending on your glasses model you may need to swap the nose pad out for a wider or narrower pad.

It usually takes a little less than 5 minutes to get used to the display. We find it's best to focus on your surroundings first, before trying to focus on the display.

Take a moment after you've fit your glasses to your face and then look ahead, into the distance.

When you feel comfortable, glance over at the display, inside the lens on your left. Your information will appear there, as you shift your gaze toward it. And when you look away, it will recede and disappear, as if by magic.

Your brain naturally helps you so that the process becomes natural and seamless. Pretty cool, right?

The correct image position

The correct position is the position that works for you; everyone's is slightly different.

The ActiveLook display size is fixed and the display is:

• Easily accessible - close to the center of the field of vision.
• Not distracting - slightly offset so that it does not interfere with one's natural gaze.

You can think of the display as a virtual ‘sign’ on the side of the road that only comes into view if you choose to look at it.

Even as the image is fixed, you can tune its position. Use the ActiveLook application to find the position that provides the sharpest clarity for you.

Safety first

You will not see videos, pop-up notifications, or anything other than the information you expect to see when you expect to see it. You also won't need to look down or away at a smart watch or fitness tracker. In this way, you can safely keep the focus on what you're doing without distraction.

Connecting your ActiveLook glasses to your Garmin watch or bike computer will allow you to see, live, and right in your field of vision, your selected performance data.

Installation Guide

Datafield you said?

Datafields are 'micro applications' embedded within Garmin's native applications. They allow you to stay in the native applicative environment and keep your Garmin experience as you are used to it. The datafield operates in background and sends data to your ActiveLook glasses while your Garmin activity, or navigation, runs in foreground.

How does it work?

• The datafield automatically scans Bluetooth and connects to your ActiveLook glasses. It then starts pushing live data when a Garmin activity is launched.
• Information is displayed as 'data screens', each data screen containing from 2 to 6 data, all provided by your Garmin device.
• By default 3 data screens are available :
• Screen n°1 : Timer + Speed + Distance
• Screen n°2 : Pace + Heart Rate + Distance
• Screen n°3 : Power 3" + Cadence + Elevation Gain
• You can navigate through the data screens by waving your hand in front of the Glass gesture sensor (no navigation through the Garmin device itself).
• You can customize your set of data screens, by picking 1 to 4 from a list of pre-defined data screens (see Datafield configuration below)
• While datafield automatically connects to the first ActiveLook glasses found, you can force connection to a given pair of glasses (see Datafield configuration below).
• On your Garmin device (Datafield face) the Datafield displays the glass connection status, reference of the data screen currently displayed, as well as glass battery level.

Note that datafields development frame impose strong technical limitations on the feature sets that limits the option to interact with glasses. The datafield starts operating as soon as any Garmin application is running (not only the Activity into which you installed it).

How to install the Datafield using your phone ?

• Open the Garmin Connect app on your phone.
• From the app's home screen, tap the menu button (3 dots in the lower right corner).
• Scroll down to 'Connect IQ Store' and select
• Search for 'ActiveLook' in the search bar at the top of the page.
• Select 'ActiveLook Datafield'.
• Select "Download".
• Sync the watch in Garmin Connect to complete installing ActiveLook Datafield on the watch

The data field is now on your watch.
You still need to set up the data screens on your watch to enable it.
You can also configure the datafield screens to select the data that will be. displayed in your glasses.

How to install the Datafield using your computer ?

If you are unable to install ActiveLook Datafield on your watch using Garmin Connect Mobile on your phone or tablet, connect your Garmin watch to your computer using the USB cable.

Open Garmin Express (or install it if necessary) on your computer. Check if Garmin has updates for your watch, and install those updates.

After connecting it to Garmin Express, choose 'IQ' Applications, then "more applications" and search for “ActiveLook Datafield”.

Select the "ActiveLook Datafield" and have it installed on your Garmin device.

The data field is now on your watch.
You still need to set up the data screens on your watch to enable it.
You can also configure the datafield screens to select the data that will be displayed in your glasses.

Configure your data screens

On 'Garmin Express' home page of your Garmin device search for the 'ActiveLook Datafield' in the list of installed applications (IQ Applications).

Click on the "..." (close to the application name) to open the "Parameters" pane.



Screens

You can select from 1 to 4 from the pre-defined data screens list below.

Edit the ‘Screens’ variable and indicate the ones you choose, separated by comas. See following examples :

• “3,2,6,1” (to be able to swipe through the 4 corresponding screens, in this order)
• “7” (one single, fixed, data screen)
• “1,2,3” (default set of screens)

List of available predefined screens (preliminary):

Glasses name

It is recommended to leave this field blank: your Garmin device will automatically connect to the first pair of ActiveLook glasses found.

You may also force the connection to a given pair of glasses (and avoid connection to your friend's glasses). To do so, enter the glass name in the corresponding field. Glass name can be found when opening the ActiveLook mobile application:



Activate the datafield on your Garmin Device To enable the ActiveLook datafield you need to use it as one of the datafield of your Activity.

1) Open the Activity where the data field will be used.
2) Edit displayed fields to modify one of the existing fields or add a new one.
3) In the field selection menu, scroll down to Connect IQ. Click on it.
4) Choose « ActiveLook DataField ».

Your ActiveLook glasses feature a gesture sensor. This sensor is positioned behind the lens of your left eye.

Waving your hand in front of the sensor will trigger a change of the data page. Hence allowing to navigate your various pre-defined screens.

To activate it, simply pass your hand near this sensor (between 3 and ~ 10cm approximately).

Experiment to familiarize yourself with its sensitivity.

To activate or deactivate the gesture sensor, check or uncheck the option 'activate the gesture sensor' in the 'glasses' tab of the application. This option is only accessible once your pair of glasses is connected to the application.

Once a sports session has started, this gesture will allow you to navigate through the different data screens that you have selected.

Once you reach the last data screen, the next gesture detected by the sensor will put the display on 'pause' and it will turn off.

The next action will turn the display back on, returning to the first of your data screens.

It is possible to modify the data set displayed on each of the data screens. This can be done independently for different sport profiles.

To modify a data screen set, click on the 'pencil' at the bottom left of the 'data' area visible on the first tab of the application.

In the screen setup screen, use the (+) to add data wherever you want, or the (x) to remove data.

By choosing (+) a list appears showing all the data available for display.

Note that some data requires the connection of a sensor to be visible (cadence, power, heart rate..)

Swipe the upper part of the screen to scroll and then modify the different screens of a given sport profile. Once you reach the last screen you can add a new screen by clicking on the '+'.

To edit your screens during an activity, first press pause to see the edit function appear.

The application displays, right in your field of vision the key information that matters to track and improve your performance.

On the Android/IOs mobile application, the following real time data can be displayed in your glasses.

Note that some of the below data display require the pairing of external sensors for the data to be displayed: Heart rate monitor, cadence or power sensor. Sensor are not provided.

Duration: Time elapsed since the launch of the activity.

• Speed: Instantaneous speed. It is calculated from GPS data or, if connected, from your speed sensor. Remember to set the size of your wheel in the corresponding menu to obtain the correct speed.
• Average speed: Average of your speed since the start of the activity.
• Maximum speed: Maximum speed value recorded since the start of the activity. Note that instabilities in the reception of the GPS signal can generate erratic values ​​which may distort the maximum value.
• Distance: Distance covered since the start of the activity. Erratic values ​​received by the GPS may distort the total distance traveled, especially over long stationary periods. In this case, consider pausing the activity.
• Altitude: This data is calculated from the information returned by the GPS.
• Elevation gain: Cumulative change in altitude since the start of the activity.
• Ascent speed: The ascent speed represents your vertical speed: a positive elevation per unit of time.
• Pace: Average time per kilometer.
• Average pace: Pace since the start of the activity.
• Heart rate: Requires connection of an external sensor. Make sure your sensor is working with a Bluetooth connection. Connection is made in the 'settings' tab (4th tab) of the application.
• Average heart rate: Your average heart rate since the start of the activity. Requires connection of an external sensor.
• Maximum hear rate: Your maximum heart rate since the start of the activity. Requires connection of an external sensor.
• Cadence: Cadence of pedaling as part of a 'cycling' activity. Requires connection of an external sensor. Connection is made in the 'settings' tab (4th tab) of the application.
• Avg. cadence: Your average pedaling pace since the start of the activity. Requires connection of an external sensor.
• Max. cadence: Your maximum pedaling pace since the start of the activity. Requires connection of an external sensor.
• Power: Your instantaneous developed power. A smoothing factor (0 to 10 seconds) can be defined in the 'settings' tab of the application. Requires connection of an external sensor. Make sure your sensor is working with a Bluetooth connection. Connection is made in the 'settings' tab (4th tab) of the application.
• Avg. power: average power developed since the start of the activity. Requires connection of an external sensor.
• Max power: The maximum power developed since the start of the activity. Requires connection of an external sensor.
• Normalized power: Normalized power is a measure of the average power as actually 'felt': by overweighting the power peaks and discarding the rest times, it is more representative of the overall effort than the average power. Its evaluation requires the connection of a power meter.

The application allows you to connect your external sensors and display the corresponding data in one of the screens of the glasses.
Only Bluetooth sensors are compatible with the ActiveLook application, 'ANT +' sensors cannot be paired.
To connect a sensor, select 'Add a sensor' in the 'settings' tab of the application (4th tab). Your sensor must be powered ON and functional to be detected. Note that some sensor are only turning on when in use.
Once paired, the data will be automatically displayed at the start of a next sports session.
The application allows the connection of the following sensors:

• HRM, heart rate monitors
• Pedaling cadence sensor
• Bike speed sensor (the corresponding wheel size must be set in the configuration menu)
• Power sensor (here also, the option of power smoothing is available in the settings menu)

Are you having difficulty connecting your sensor? Try to uninstall and then reinstall the application. Otherwise, let us know the reference of your sensor in the return form to allow our development teams to investigate the problem.

Install the ActiveLook Application Your glasses are powered by ActiveLook technology. Download and run the application corresponding to your Android or iOS device.

The application will guide you through:

• Fitting your glasses onto your face
• Updating your glasses, as required
• Starting your first session

This information is for Android users of the ActiveLook app.

If the Activelook application on your phone stops during activity, first open "Parameters" on your phone, then click on "Apps".

Select "Apps" again and click on the "ActiveLook" app. In the "Storage" section, click "Clear cache".

Clearing the cache will reduce the risks of old, stored information creating issues.

If the problem persists, first export your saved sessions from the Activelook application so you don't lose your data. Then, you'll want to find the "Clear data" option. Clearing the app data means deleting everything in the app that wasn't there at install so, again: be sure to export your data before you take this step.

If you still need help after this, please contact ActiveLook customer service.

If the data displayed by your glasses doesn't refresh during an activity when your phone is in sleep mode, open "Settings" on your phone, then click on "Apps". Select "Apps" again and click on the "Activelook" app.

In the "Data usage" section, make sure the "Background data" option is enabled.

If this option is already enabled, disable it and enable it again.

If the problem persists, please contact ActiveLook customer service.

After you've successfully paired your glasses with the ActiveLook application and started an activity, your data should be displayed on your glasses based on your original fit session.

If for some reason you begin to have trouble seeing the display, here are some ways to troubleshoot.

The image is cropped

If you can't see the image in its entirety, this may mean that your glasses haven't been fitted to your face correctly. You can fix this by bending the temples and adjusting the nose pads.

In the video below, you'll see see how to adjust your glasses to best see the display:

If the image is still cropped after making these adjustments, you can change the position of the screen in the application: go to the ActiveLook application and select the third tab. In the "Screen position" section, use the arrows to move the screen.

The screen is displaying strange images

If you start seeing distorted or strange images instead of the usual pictograms, your glasses may not have the latest firmware update, or the configuration of your glasses may need to be updated.

If you're prompted to install a new update when you connect your ActiveLook app to your glasses, make sure you do so.

If you're not sure your glasses have the latest version of our firmware, connect your glasses to the Activelook app and then go to the third tab in the app. Go to the bottom of the section and click on the version information. If a message pops up, asking you to update your glasses, do it. If you don't receive a prompt, then your glasses are already updated to the latest version.

Now click on the configuration version number to check if this is updated, as well.

After updating, the problem should be solved. If the problem persists, please contact ActiveLook customer service.

The image is blurry or otherwise hard to read

If the last time you used your glasses, the image was clear but now it's blurry or distorted, the projector is likely dirty or was perhaps damaged during your last session.

First, check the projector to see there if are scratches on either the lens or the mirror. If the projector is damaged, please contact ActiveLook customer service.

If nothing is obviously damaged but the image is still blurry, clean the projector with one of the cotton buds provided with your Smart Eyewear. We recommand you use a water-based cleaning product for glasses. You can can also use soap and water.

Do not rinse your glasses under flowing water, or the electronic components inside your glasses may be compromised.

If the image is still blurry after cleaning your glasses, please contact ActiveLook customer service.

The auto-brightness function allows you to benefit from an adaptive display while using your ENGO Smart Eyewear. The sensor located on top of the left lens of your glasses measures the light surrounding you in order to regulate the level of brightness on the lens. This functionality is activated and deactivated in the ActiveLook app.

If you believe the auto-brightness is malfunctioning (IE the screen is blinking, the level of brightness isn't changing) go into the app and disable then enable the function. You may also want to turn your glasses off and then back on. If the problem persists, close the app, and then try the previous steps once more.

If the problem still remains after this, please contact ActiveLook customer service.

If the gesture control attribute isn't working, it may be that it's been deactivated in the app. After you connect your glasses to the ActiveLook app, go to the third tab and check that the gesture sensor is activated. If it's been disabled, enable it.

If the problem persists, try turning off your glasses and then turning them on again once the sensor is enabled.

If the problem remains after this, please contact ActiveLook customer service.

If your glasses freeze while they're on, try turning them off and then on again.

If you can't turn the glasses off, plug them in to a power source. This should recalibrate your glasses, thus letting them restart normally.

If nothing changes while the glasses are plugged in, wait until the battery runs low and then plug them in once more to see if the charging begins working as usual.

Are the glasses on and charged?

The first thing to check is that the glasses are turned on and their battery is fully charged. If the glasses turn off by themselves after a few seconds or fail to turn on at all, try plugging them in for a while before trying again.

Has Bluetooth been deactivated?

When launching the ActiveLook app on your smartphone, a message should appear if Bluetooth is not activated. Make sure Bluetooth is on before trying to pair your glasses.

Are the glasses not connecting automatically?

Once the initial connection has been made between your glasses and the ActiveLook app, subsequent connections should happen automatically.

If they aren't, go to the third tab of your ActivLook app and in the “Connection” section, click on “Device search”. Your glasses should appear in a new screen. Click on “Connect”. Your glasses should now be connected.

If your glasses cannot be found after they've been turned on, try turning them off and then on again, and trying once more. You may want to quit out of the app and restart it, as well.

If you've followed each of the previous steps listed above and the problem persists, please contact ActiveLook customer service.

If your display goes off during use, it could be your gesture sensor.

Waving your hand once slowly across the gesture sensor will change which screen is displayed. Once you've reached the end of the screen options, the display will enter sleep mode. To exit sleep mode, simply wave your hand in front of the gesture sensor again.

The gesture is sensitive so sometimes it will respond to a lock of hair passing in front of it, or the helmet being too close to the glasses. You can solve for this by adjusting your glasses on your face. You may also try deactivating the gesture sensor in the third tab of the application and then reactivating it.

If the problem persists, it could be the battery. Please refer to "The glasses turn off unexpectedly" for more troubleshooting.

If the issue remains after this, please contact ActiveLook customer service.

When turning on your glasses, if you can see that the LED is working but the screen can't be read as usual, first check to see if you're connected to a smartphone, watch, or other device. Occasionally, if the glasses connect automatically to a device, the display might remain in pause mode.

If you see that you're connected already, try starting an activity to see if the screen comes back on. If that doesn't work, try to quit pause mode by changing the screen using the gesture sensor.

If the glasses are not connected to any device, try plugging them in to charge the battery, then try connecting again.

If the problem persists, please contact ActiveLook customer service.

First, make sure your glasses are completely charged. Glasses need to be plugged in for a minimum of three hours to be considered fully charged.

Once you've plugged your glasses in, check that the LED is continuously lit, and that the display is on.

The LED turns on while charging

If the LED is continuously lit when the glasses are plugged in, then the glasses are charging normally. When you check the screen, if it is not shining, try unplugging the glasses, plugging them back in, and then checking again. The display is supposed to only stay on for one minute while charging.

If you can’t see the screen while the glasses are plugged in, this could mean that there is a problem with the display. Please contact ActiveLook customer service.

The LED does not turn on while charging

If the glasses are plugged into a power source, but neither the LED nor the display seem to be on, check that your power source is working. Please note, the LED will stop shining once the charge is complete, so try turning your glasses on to see if the LED is blinking or not.

If neither the screen nor the display turn on, please contact ActiveLook customer service.

If your glasses keep turning on and off unprompted, try rebooting them.

To reboot the glasses, just plug your glasses into a power source and then unplug them again. This should recalibrate the power button and resolve the issue. Try keeping the glasses plugged in for a bit longer if this doesn't do it.

If the problem persists, please contact ActiveLook customer service.

When turning your glasses on, the LED should blink for just a few seconds, and then shine steadily.

If the LED keeps blinking when you turn your glasses on, try plugging them in, and then unplugging them. Plugging your glasses in will recalibrate them, so this may solve the problem.

If the LED continuously blinks while charging the glasses, try unplugging them and waiting for the blinking to stop. Once the LED has stopped blinking, turn the glasses on and plug them in to charge once again. The issues should be resolved then but if it persists, please contact ActiveLook customer service.

The LED should blink for three seconds before shining continuously when the glasses are powered on.

If this doesn't happen, try plugging your glasses in to charge the battery for a while. If the LED shines continuously while the glasses are plugged, let the glasses charge for some time, then try turning them on again later.

If the LED is not lighting up while charging the glasses, try unplugging and plugging the glasses in again several times to make sure the connection is right.

"The LED is not lighting up but the display does when I turn the glasses on."

While turning your glasses on, the LED should be blinking before shining continuously. The display should then be turned on and you should be able to see the screen on the right lens of your glasses.

If you can’t see the LED shining at any time, try turning the glasses on anyway by putting your finger on the center part of your glasses for three seconds. If the screen is showing on the lens of your glasses, there might be a problem coming from the LED, but the glasses should still be working as usual.

It's not normal for the battery to feel unusually warm when the glasses are plugged in.

If you feel the battery overheating, unplug the glasses immediately, otherwise the glasses may become damaged and, in extreme cases, you may burn your hand.

Please contact ActiveLook customer service if you're experiencing this issue.

If you have used your glasses up to the point of not being able to turning them on again, this probably means the battery is empty. Try plugging your glasses in for three hours for a complete charge.

Make sure the LED is shining continuously while the glasses are charging. If not, try unplugging and plugging in the glasses again several times. If the LED does not light up.

If the glasses don’t turn on after an hour of charging, try connect them to another power source.

To update the glasses, all you have to do is press 'Update' when the ActiveLook application prompts you and confirm your choice.

The ActiveLook application systematically checks the availability of new eyewear firmware when the eyewear is connected.

The same applies for the catalog of graphic elements (graphic configuration) preloaded in the glasses.

In case of doubt about the operation of your glasses (display problem), it is possible to force a new update of the graphic configuration by a long press on the corresponding version indicator in the 'glasses' tab of the application.

The application allows you to finely adjust the position of the image in your field of vision.

However, before using this function, it is imperative to first perform a 'physical' adjustment of your glasses by adjusting the nose bridge and temples.

It is possible, depending on the model of ActiveLook glasses, to adjust the nose bridge as well as to flex the temples of the glasses.

1st step:
Start by adjusting the nose bridge (adjustable or interchangeable) to raise or lower the optical system in relation to your eye.
Position yourself in front of a mirror: the pupil of your right eye must be on the same horizontal plane as the lens visible on the surface of the micro-projector. Use the adjustability of the nose bridge to achieve this.

2nd step:
Secondly, adjust the branches of your glasses by twisting them. Adjust the inclination of the front face of the glasses so as to see the full image.

3rd step:
The image position can be finely adjusted in the 'glasses' tab, ''Screen position" option. The menu is accessible when only your pair of glasses is connected to the application.

Two brightness adjustment options are available: manual or automatic.

For automatic adjustment - depending on the ambient light - activate 'Automatic brightness' in the 'Glasses' tab of the ActiveLook application.

For manual brightness adjustment, adjust the brightness slider. The button "Auto Luminance" should be disabled.

The application allows you to turn off the screen of the glasses if you wish. This can be done while keeping the glasses connected to the app.
There are 2 possibilities to do this:

• Activate or deactivate the display slider which appears at the top right of the application once the glasses are connected.
• Thanks to the gesture sensor of the glasses: pass your hand in front of the sensor. First, this will cycle through the different data screens. Once you get to the last screen, the next swipe will turn off the screen by activating the 'pause' mode. Once off, an additional swipe will turn the screen back on and replace you on the first data screen.

Note that you can deactivate the operation of the gesture sensor in the glass tab of the application.

There may be 5 reasons why one or more data is not displayed in the glasses:

• Check that your glasses are turned on and connected to the application, refer to the section relating to the connection to the glasses.
• Once connected / switched on, the glasses display may go into pause mode, in which the display is off. Deactivate the 'pause' cursor in the top right corner of the data tab.
• Some data requires an external sensor (not supplied). This is the case for heart rate, power, cadence.
The data is only displayed once a sports session has been launched. Press 'play' to start a sports session and initiate the calculation and display of data.
• During the initial data integration phase (capture of the GPS signal, stabilization of the data evaluated by the application), some data is not displayed. After about 30 seconds all available data will be displayed.

The application offers 3 sports profiles: running, cycling, multisport. Each profile corresponds to a set of data pages adapted to this sport.

To change the sport profile, use the menu at the top left of the application screen.

Note that it is possible to modify the data page set for each of the sport profiles. Refer to the corresponding question in this knowledge base.

When a session is started, it is no longer possible to change the sport profile. This in so, as the calculation of certain data depends on the chosen profile.

The application provides a functionality in 'beta' mode of exporting your tracks and histories in the form of a gpx track.

Once in the 'history' tab (2nd tab), select the session you want to share then choose 'export'.

Rather than transferring your gpx to third-party applications, we recommend that you launch your usual sports tracking application in parallel with the ActiveLook application.

The calculation of certain performance variables requires a setting:

The calculation of the bicycle speed can be done using an external speed sensor (wheel revolution counter). When a sensor is connected, the speed calculated from the sensor is taken into account (and not that returned by the GPS service).

To compute this speed, it is necessary to know the distance traveled at each turn of the wheel, and therefore to enter your wheel size in the 'settings' section of the 'adjustment' tab (4th tab) of the application.

Also, the instantaneous power smoothing is set in this same section. It is necessary to connect an external power sensor (BT) to allow this data to be displayed.

Connection to GPS can be improper on some phones. Indeed, for the sake of battery saving, some manufacturers override the GPS management mechanisms as implemented by the operating system (IOs, Android). They can thus deprive the ActiveLook application of geolocation data when it is in the background.

There is no universal recipe for this and the solution will depend on your manufacturer.

In general, the best practices are as follows:

• Make sure that the 'ActiveLook' application has a right to access location information. For Android, this can be found in the system settings, 'applications' menu, authorization manager
• Also deactivate the battery optimization mechanisms for the ActiveLook application. 'Battery' menu in Android
• Explore forums and the internet for specific solutions for your phone model.

The data displayed by ActiveLook comes from different sources and is calculated to the best of the existing constraints.

The speed, position and altitude information (as well as their derivatives: average, maximum, variation, etc.) depend on the quality of the information received by the GPS signal.

To increase the accuracy of the data, calculation algorithms (formulas) are applied to the raw GPS signal to smooth out the position and speed information, rule out certain points deemed to be erratic and provide you with as accurate data and track as possible.

These algorithms are regularly updated in the application to improve the quality of the ActiveLook service.

ActiveLook projects a super-imposed, virtual image into your field of vision, floating just in front of you. It is projected slightly to the left in front of the right eye. It's about the size of a watch face held about 30 cm away. Your central vision remains completely open and clear.

ActiveLook is safe: it is designed to display values, symbols, and simple notifications. The information only appears when the gaze is shifted toward it; otherwise, it largely disappears.

The ergonomics of the 'ActiveLook' application for Garmin is very similar to that of the Garmin application:

• an 'option' menu (accessible by the 'up' button) gives you access to the configuration of the application and in particular the connection and configuration of your glasses and its data screens.

Configuration of the data screens in glasses : how to?

It is possible to modify the data set displayed on each of the data screens. This can be done independently for different sport profiles.
To modify a data screen set, enter the 'options' menu (top) then choose 'screen configurations'.
The start button (Pencil) allows you to start editing one of the data screens.
Where does the displayed data come from?
From your Garmin device! The application uses information provided by the Garmin system. The data is therefore the same as that displayed on your usual Garmin application.

How to activate / deactivate the gesture sensor?

How to adjust the brightness of the glasses?

Automatic (adapts to ambient light: recommended)

• Low (low light)
• Mid (medium light)
• High (high light).

By configuring your data screens, you can simultaneously display 3 to 6 pieces of information in your ActiveLook glasses. These data are:

• Timer: time elapsed since the start of your sports session
• Speed: your instantaneous speed
• Speed ​​avg. : your average speed since the start of the session
• Distance: the total distance traveled since the start of the session
• Elevation: your current altitude
• Elevation gain: the cumulative positive elevation gain since the start of your session
• Pace: your pace (min / km)
• Heart beat: your current heart rate
• Heart beat avg. your average heart rate on the session
• Cadence: your pedaling cadence (requires an external sensor)
• Cadence avg. : your average pedaling cadence (requires an external sensor)
• Power: your instantaneous power. (requires external sensor)
• Power avg. : your average power. (requires an external sensor)
• Power norm. : your normalized power. Average power better reflecting the total effort as actually perceived.

The 'Garmin' bicycle watch and computer application connects to your 'ActiveLook' compatible glasses and allows you to display, directly in your field of vision, the information collected and displayed by your Garmin device.

The other functions of the application are:

• Management of sports sessions to start / stop recording your performances
• Definition of 3 sports profiles: running, cycling, or multisport
• Each profile corresponds to a set of 1 to 4 pages of data
• Each data page contains 1 to 6 information.
• Each of the pages of each of the profiles is configurable: you can choose the information you want to see displayed. This is done in the 'option'> 'screen configurations' menu.
• You can change the page by passing your hand in front of the gesture sensor located on the left side of your glasses (behind the glass)
• Once your profile is configured, launch an activity to initiate the counter and the effective monitoring of performance in your glasses.

To install a new app on your watch, refer to your Garmin device instructions.

As a general rule, the easiest and most straightforward method to install a Garmin application is to use the utility 'Garmin Express' on your computer and connect your device using an USB cord to upload and synchronize it.

After connecting it to Garmin Express, choose 'IQ' Applications and search for “ActiveLook Head-up Display Sport Glasses”.
